You should also make sure that you are drinking adequate amounts of water throughout the day.  Dehydration is at the root of many of our problems as far as additional weight that we are carrying around.  If you are dehydrated, you need to change the situation immediately in order to give your body the opportunity to effectively burn the fat that you are carrying around.  I can't stress this enough, drink water.

Another thing that you're going to need to do is to get the proper type of exercise.  Forget about everything that you have heard before and listen to the way that fat is truly burnt off of your body.  This is by building up the larger muscles of your body so that your metabolism is going to run at its maximum level and melt the fat off of you from the inside out.  Targeting your legs, back and chest muscles by using a variety of different multi-joint exercises is the single best way for you to get into shape and to lose that belly fat in a hurry.

Yes, it is going to take some effort on your part but believe it or not, the truth about how to lose belly fat is a lot easier than living a lie and never getting anything accomplished.  Try it for a month and see what kind of a difference it will make in your life.
